My Energy S10.3 subwoofer has recently stopped working. I have had it for over a year now. Originally after a month or so after I bought it, the blue LED on the front of the sub slowly dimmed and then went completely out. Sub performance was not affected and the light never came back on again. From googling the issue and searching the forums a bit I see that this is quite common with the X.3 series Energy Subs. However, a few days ago I was in the middle of a movie and I could see crackling yellow/orange sparks coming from inside the LED that used to light up Blue. It sparked for a few seconds and then the sub went quiet and hasn’t worked since. I have checked the outlet to make sure there were no breakers blown and plugged a few other things into it as well. I have dual subs hooked up with a "y" cable and the other sub is working fine.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen and knows what the problem is. I have heard of the Blue LED burning out, but not sparking and stopping the sub. I don’t know if it was actually the LED that sparked, but the light came from right inside the LED part. I have unplugged the sub and turned the switch off and then tried it in another outlet but it is not working. I do have a 9 year warranty on it, but was wondering if this is just a loose solder that I could possibly fix myself, or even a fuse in the sub possibly? Anyone have any ideas?
